The F(r)iction Fall 2026 Writing Contests invite creative writers worldwide to submit bold, boundary-pushing literature across short stories, flash fiction, and poetry. Judged by an esteemed panel of guest editors—Joy Baglio, Wes Blake, and Renia White—the competition seeks weird, unconventional, and mind-bending narratives with strong character arcs that disrupt traditional publishing trends.

This door is open to Nigerians
The contest is open globally to all writers over the age of 13. According to the F(r)iction Contests Submission Manager, the opportunity "accepts work, written in English, from anywhere in the world—regardless of genre, style, or origin... Writers over the age of 13 are welcome to submit. All submissions must be previously unpublished."
