Writing By Writers is accepting applications for its 2027 Residency Season across premier destinations including the Hemingway House in Idaho, Jackson Hole in Wyoming, and Collioure in France. Under evaluation by a merit-based jury, the program offers quiet blocks of independent time (ranging from one to two weeks) designed to give solo authors the physical space required to develop or complete ongoing creative manuscripts

The program is designed specifically for solo writers across various literary focus groups. According to the Writing By Writers Residency Guidelines: "Residencies are open to writers of all genres: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenplay, playwriting, and beyond... Residencies are intended for writers only. No spouses, children or friends are allowed unless applying as a co-resident."
