The SeriesFest x Shondaland Women Directing Mentorship is an elite television industry fellowship program entering its eighth cycle. Designed to discover aspiring female directors with unique creative voices, the initiative bridges the gap between independent short-form content and major episodic television by granting one winner direct on-set shadowing experience with an established TV director, funding assistance, and festival amplification.

This door is not currently open to Nigerians.
The program targets female-identifying directors with baseline professional experience who haven't yet directed commercial network television. According to the Official SeriesFest Mentorship Eligibility Rules, an applicant must: "Be 21+ years of age. Applicants should to be based in the United States or the United Kingdom. Must have 3 years of professional experience (in any professional role, not just Director). Applicants who have previously directed a network series are ineligible."
